Create a charitable wedding and share the love of your wedding day with those in need. Assuredly there are many big and small ways to make an impact in the lives of others. For example, feeding the hungry, or helping a bride with cancer. Undoubtedly, every small step makes a big difference.
Allow your wedding guests to be a part of the cause. For instance, consider adding a link to a charity organization with-in your registry. Similarly, make your gift registry directly to the charity, in lieu of gifts.
You can also find ways to donate your wedding dress and flowers. Or rent a venue run by a non-profit. In the same vein, volunteer for your bachelor or bachelorette party.
Start by choosing a need or charitable organization that is meaningful to you and your fiancé. Second, find an organization that you can support. It can be nationally focused, or in your own community. Last, add the information to your wedding website or include it in your invitation. Above all, let your special day make another persons day brighter.
By creating a charitable wedding, you create the opportunity to touch the lives of others in the name of love. Assuredly this is not a complete list. However it is a place to help you find a way to support a charity and share the love from your wedding day.
Wish Upon a Wedding grants weddings and vow renewals to couples facing serious illness or life-altering health circumstances.

Action Against Hunger has a charitable wedding option. Instead of gifts, dedicate your registry to asking for donations and help make a lasting positive impact on the world.

This Florida wedding reception has us swooning. Undoubtedly from the tropical greenery to the modern farmhouse back drop, this styled shoot is everything we love above Florida weddings.
Modern tropics is so perfect for the Florida bride and groom. Admittedly the team of vendors first thought of birds of paradise and flamingos. However, that style would not show off the gorgeous venue. Instead they wanted something more modern and classic. For all those reasons, the photographer, Kristine of Honeywood Photography, said this about the choice of greenery – “I feel like florals play such an important role in creating the vibe of the wedding. Further the greenery adds a classy touch. However, florals go in and out of season. Subsequenly, the styled shoot team chose to use mostly greenery in the design. Because it is year round and can be done in an elegant way.”
The venue, Cypress Creek Farmhouse, in Astatula, FL, wanted to set up this styed shoot just as if a wedding was going on. For example, there was a fully set up outdoor ceremony area. Next, a reception room with a DJ. Finally, to add a bit of whimsy and fun, Orlando Photo Bus, a vintage Volkswagen Bus was added. Correspondingly, the models, whom are a real couple, said they should have renewed their vows because it was so perfectly set.
With a color scheme of white, black, gold and greenery the wedding bouquet is sure to wow. Accordingly, Le Fleur Atelier created this bouquet. No doubt it is what wedding bouquet dreams are made of. Thus we absolutely had to share it with you.
In contrast to the drama of the wedding bouquet. We give you this simply elegant wedding dress from Solutions Bridal. As you can see, the front lays beautifully without being too revealing. Likewise the open back with the long, thin looping bow. Looking for your perfect wedding dress, try a Virtual Styling Experiences with Solutions Bridal.
In conclusion, we asked the photographer what she learned while on location at this styled shoot. Kristen said, “This is a lesson that I have already learned. In fact this day reinforced it. The lesson is to work with an amazing vendor team, it will make such a big difference on wedding day. That is to say, when everyone is nice, friendly extremely talented and always brings their A game. Without a doubt, magic will happen.”

As a little girl, Chelsea dreamed about a big, beautiful wedding. Complete with a gorgeous wedding dress. Most importantly, a sparkling cathedral veil. As a result, she ordered a custom veil from Sorelle Vita Couture. In fact, Sorelle Vita Couture says, the wedding veil is one of the most, if not the most, important bridal accessory to wear on your wedding day. It adds the extra special touch that transforms you from a beautiful woman in a beautiful dress to a beautiful bride.
Michael and Chelsea were married on January 31, 2021 in St. Augustine, FL. Moreover it was the last night of St. Augustine’s famous “Nights of Lights“. Therefore the town was beautifully lit up and created a stunning backdrop for this dream wedding exit. Chelsea says it was “the perfect blend of elegance and winter wonder”. Additionally, the ceremony and reception took place inside The Treasury on the Plaza. Further adding to the dreamy elements of this wedding with the classic details of the 100-year-old art-deco era building.
The happy couple said the venue was a bridal dream. That is to say, it offers state of the art event features while simultaneously maintaining the historic charm of one of St. Augustine, FL’s prized landmarks. Chelsea cried when she walked through the doors of the private reception room reveal. Speaking of crying, how touching is the groom crying when he sees his beautiful bride for the first time walking down the aisle.
According to the bride, planning a wedding during a pandemic was challenging and emotionally draining at times. That is to say, feeling uncertain about last minute guest cancellations. Then questioning how months of distance planning would come together. Indeed loosing sleep at night. Further Chelsea says, somehow, the wedding coordinator and the entire Treasury Team found a way to make us feel so special. Our bridal party and guests were made to feel safe and the venue made it possible for everyone to briefly forget the craziness of the pandemic for one perfect, magical evening.
The cathedral wedding veil was very important to this special bride. As aforementioned, it was part of her childhood dream. We cannot end this blog without again showing off this stunning custom veil and sharing Chelsea’s touching words. “11 months of planning and agonizing over little details transformed into something more enchanting than I ever could have imagined. There are no words, I’m still speechless.”

Live wedding music adds a personal touch to your special day. Consider live entertainment for your wedding ceremony, transitions, cocktail hour, dinner and reception. Providing entertainment for your wedding guests is more than an experience. In short, it’s also a thank you for being part of your best day ever. We consulted with Andrea Rowlison of Music Remembrance for advice on being more creative with powerful live wedding music.
Live entertainment at your wedding ceremony is perhaps the most traditional and popular way to incorporate your personal style. The performers or instruments you choose put your personal stamp on the entire ceremony.
For your walk down the aisle there is nothing more elegant than processing to the music of live instruments. You can choose a classic string quartet performing grand and graceful classical music. Or a string quartet performing your favorite punk rock songs. In fact, the sky is the limit for the kind of music and the variety of ensembles available. Professional ensembles will be able to fill requests for any song or music style. Andrea says in Central Florida, the options are endless. First trombone choir, saxophone with guitar or swing band. Then Irish fiddler, Italian opera vocalist or accordion. Further mandolin and almost anything else you can dream of.
Here are some suggestions to help you choose the perfect option for your live wedding music:
Wedding day transitions are when you move from one part of the event to another. As an example, moving the guests from the ceremony to the cocktail hour. Couple this movement with a parade of live performers and you are sure to have a dramatic flare. Additionally a parade into or out of the ceremony will provide a memorable moment for your wedding guests. Of course there is the New Orleans Style Parade Band. But have you considered these options – marching band, flash mob, dance troupe or even a drum line. Additionally a fanfare of trumpets to announce that dinner is being served.
Imagine your guests sipping cocktails and enjoying appetizers. Add to that a live musician or music ensemble. Now you have created an atmosphere to match your wedding style. Along with any of the aforementioned musical options, there are also strolling violinist, jazz pianist and singers. Further this experience by providing unique live musical entertainment. For instance, Italian musicians to enhance Italian food or wedding theme. Similarly, a French duo to enhance a French wedding theme. Last, but not least, a Dixieland band for Great Gatsby theme.
Entertainment does not have to specifically be musicians. As an example, live artist painting scenes from the cocktail hour or caricature artist. But wait, there is more. For instance, live cocktail tables (women with large table-like skirts with cocktails) and character actors mingling with guests and posing for pictures.
During dinner live entertainment sets the perfect tone. Keep it in the background with soft music by a combination group. So as not to disturb dinner service and conversation. On the flip side, a full dinner show with a big band with singer or a band with a celebrity or celebrity impersonator. In fact, you can have a dinner theater. Or even a mystery dinner show.
Your wedding reception is the time to let loose and have fun with your guests. Choose unique entertainment like a disco band or sock hop band. Speak with your performers in advance to ensure they can play all your favorite dance songs.
Surprise your loved ones with a singing telegram with custom song lyrics. Have it presented to your parents or loved ones during the rehearsal dinner, wedding dinner or reception. Thus providing an unforgettable “thank you”. Indeed there will not be a dry eye in the house. Want to do something extra special for your new spouse? A surprise romantic serenade of a song written for them will be personal and magical.
Be original. Choose a music style that reflects you. Country, classical and jazz to name just a few. Additionally, mix it up by having your live wedding music style played by non-traditional instruments.
Andrea shares this special request story. Music Remembrance was asked to recreate the wedding scene from “Love Actually”. The musicians stood up and joined in one by one performing the song “All You Need Is Love”. It’s been several years since this wedding, but I’m sure their guests remember that unique performance! Similarly she shares this story about dancers. “One of the most breathtaking weddings that I ever performed for had an elegantly dressed dance troupe performing in the church aisles. They danced to a brass quintet performing ‘Simple Gifts’ with beautifully colored scarves that flowed in the lights. At the end of the ceremony the dancers led the bride, groom and wedding party down the aisle down dancing with tall dancing colorful kites to joyful pipe organ music.”
On a smaller scale, a solo dancer is a really memorable and beautiful dancing to special music.
Using live entertainment at weddings is a great way to personalize your wedding day. A dramatic walk down the aisle to a chamber orchestra or a cool jazz atmosphere for your cocktail hour can make your day truly personal and memorable for your guests. Choose the live entertainment that best reflects your personals style as a couple and create an atmosphere that your wedding guests will remember for years to come.

Planning a wedding can be fun and stressful. So to help you prepare we are sharing some how to advice from 3 expert wedding planners. We asked these Orlando and Tampa wedding planners this question: What are the top 5 things a couple needs to know to start planning a wedding? As a result, we have a list of 8 things you need to know before you start. Seas Your Day Events says, “There are a lot of steps in wedding planning. Whether you do it solo or hire a wedding planner. You never can get where you want to be if you don’t give yourself a solid roadmap. So dedicate some time in the early stages to budgeting and brainstorming. The details will be much easier to fill in as you go.”
Tip #1: 2 out of our 3 planners said “Know Your Budget”. Be realistic and have the money conversation with each other and your families. In short, this helps you piece together every other aspect of your wedding. For instance, the guest list, venue selection and entertainment. Also menu, décor and everything in between. To sum up, it will set you up for success from the start and ensure everyone involved is on the same page. (Socialite Events). In the same vein, Pavone Events says to set a budget before you select a venue. Ideally a venue and food and beverage should be 50% of your overall budget. By setting your budget first, you are sure to not overspend on your venue and food and beverage. In other words, you can create a realistic expectation for your wedding moving forward.
Tip #2: Outline the basic look and feel of your wedding. That is to say, what is your vision for your big day? Consider starting with your colors. Maybe even the colors of the year. Next choose your theme or style. For instance, barn versus ballroom or Halloween theme versus Italian Theme. You don’t need to choose every tiny detail at the beginning. But do start with an outline of your vision. Pavone Events says put the items of most importance as a priority. Subsequently this will help you narrow down the search for your venue, florist, dress and more according to Socialite Events.
Tip #3: The wedding planners at Seas Your Day Events have some great tips for prioritizing your wedding planning. They say “Decide what your biggest priorities are. In other words, make a list of things you liked at past weddings you’ve attended. Start your Pinterest board, include things you’ve dreamed about. Further, list things you absolutely want to avoid that you’ve seen at past weddings. For example, the rise of “tech free ceremonies.” No one wants to see photos ruined by Aunt Suzie holding her iPad up in the first row. Find what is best for you as a couple, prioritize what is absolutely important, and your perfect day will come to life!” Similarly, Socialite Events says “Prioritize! This goes hand in hand with your budget. It’s important to write down what is most important to you and your significant other. Is it the food and music? Or the location and the florals? Maybe it is your guest count and your photo booth? Having this front of mind when planning will help you stick to your budget. Further it will make the decision making easier. Fun Fact: Wedding guests will always remember the food and the music at your wedding.”
Tip #4: This is imperative to planning your budget. Start your guest list. Likewise, ask your family for their lists. Knowing how many people are attending your celebration will help guide your decisions. First your budget. Second your venue selection and catering. This step will help you be prepared and manage expectations. (Socialite Events)
Tip #5: Andrea, the owner of Pavone Events says, “When meeting with vendors, use the venues and your planners preferred list. These are professionals who are vetted. As you meet with your vendors ask who they most often work with. Subsequently this will help provide a smooth wedding day to have vendors who are accustomed to working with each other.”
Tip #6: All of our interviewed wedding planners said “Hire A Wedding Planner.” Moreover, each planner had similar and different reasons for giving this advice.
“Hiring a planner doesn’t necessarily mean extra cost. We know what is sounds like: having a wedding planner is something only for the privileged few that can afford extravagant weddings. However that couldn’t be further than the truth! A planner is your corner man, the one sharing Pinterest with you, giving advice when necessary, and giving you as much guidance or room to breathe as you need. We are meant for the everyday bride. That is to say there are personalized packages for every budget. And the best part? Sometimes the money you save by using a planner pays for the planner themselves. As planners we have a close group of other wedding vendors that we work with regularly. Subsequently, many times having exclusive discounts that you would not be able to get on your own.”
“Don’t rule out a planner until you have at least had a consultation call. Most planners offer free consultations or introductory meetings. So take them up on it. Even if you don’t think you want a planner, you may be able to learn some things in the call that will arm you with the proper questions to ask vendors. For instance, will the cake be delivered in a refrigerated truck? Will the caterer take out all trash at the end of the night? Who handles gifts on the day of to make sure they end up in the right car? There is no harm in exploring your options. The worst that can come out of you going is you just being more informed on how to process planning a wedding yourself. Who knows, you may just find a solution to a problem you didn’t know you had yet.”
“Book your wedding planner early. Even if you are hiring a day or month-of coordinator and not partial or full design. Wedding planners have relationships with so many vendors in your area and are able to help guide you in the right direction from the very start. In other words, this keeps you from spending countless hours googling vendors and hoping they are reputable. Planners receive preferred partner pricing that they can pass on to their couples. Book them early and they can save you time and money.”
“Hire a Planner. Not just for sanity on the wedding day. But your planner is your advisor, your counselor and your voice of reason.”
Tip #7: You cannot duplicate yourself. As much as we know you may want to, you can’t get your vision across to multiple people and trust it turns out okay on the day of, while you are trying to relax and get ready to say “I Do”. Planners are here to be ‘you’ in business form. We meet with you and download your ideal vision into our brains. Then we make sure you have covered all of your bases. Also, we answer questions you never knew you had. Last, we bring it all together on wedding day. That way when the caterer is lost, the flowers are going to be 20 minutes late, someone lost the foundation the makeup artist was going to use for you – there is someone there to do the dirty work. All the while you’re sipping on mimosas and making memories with your closest family and friends. (Seas Your Day Events)
Tip #8: Make a point person. If you decide to not hire a planner, it is extremely important that you put someone in charge of your wedding day. Remember, you can’t duplicate yourself. Similarly, you can’t assume your parents or maid of honor is going to be able to answer the day of questions from vendors and guests. Moreover, you want them celebrating with you, not running to get the taps for the keg that were forgotten (true story according to Seas Your Day Events). Make your point person someone not in your core circle. That is to say, not a family member or closest friend. This important person must be able to be pulled away so you aren’t bothered on your very special and beautiful dream wedding day. (Seas Your Day Events). P.S. day of coordinators are great for this job.

On your wedding day, you want to feel comfortable in your suit. In other words, you don’t want to be fidgeting with an ill fitting jacket or pants. Above all, you want your suit to suit you. To create the best dang Florida barn wedding ever, Sarah and Nick started by choosing their wedding venue. BLB Hacienda is a breathtaking barn venue and horse farm where you get up close and personal with stunning retired Disney horses who now live on the property. The venue website says you will be enchanted by the beautiful landscape and features. Next the barn was decorated romantically with garden style décor. Sarah’s sister, Heather, transformed the space into the bride’s vision of her dream wedding. As a result, they achieved the garden style look she wanted with-in the barn wedding venue.
The bride wanted garden style décor. To achieve this, the wedding venue was filled with a variety of décor. For example, different height centerpieces with candelabras, floral and candles. Further with lanterns and greenery. The sweetheart table was framed by two trees. In addition, “The Lupos” sign made a statement backdrop on the hedge walls behind the sweetheart table. Likewise the brides bouquet used the wedding colors of ivory, blush, gold and greenery.
The groom, Nick, is a whiskey and cigar guy. So the photographer, Angelika Krug Photography created this special memento just for the groom. That is to say she shot a detail of his favorite Jack Daniels whiskey, and his wedding day shoes and tie. Similarly the brides beautiful shoes and wedding rings were also captured as a special memory.
Above all, are the sweet moments shared with family. The Father of the Bride gave a speech about the couple. He told everyone a story about how his little girl was always his “Sarah Cinderella”. To clarify, from the time she was a little girl, he would dress her up for church. When he did his first look with Sarah in her wedding gown, he said that today, she truly is, his “Sarah Cinderella”.
Sarah was also able to spend special time with her sisters and mother. For instance, while she was getting ready, her mother helped her with her veil. Further, several of the bridesmaids were her sisters.
Starting with the gorgeous barn wedding venue as the backdrop. Then adding all the beautiful garden style décor. Next the simple touches of the Jack Daniels Whiskey for the groom and “The Lupos” sign. Further the special moments with the family. Last the joining of Sarah and Nick as husband and wife. In conclusion, these elements all came together to give Sarah and Nick their dream wedding and we believe the best dang Florida barn wedding ever.
These wedding vendors helped Sarah and Nick create their perfect wedding:

Have you ever wondered what to do with your flowers after your wedding? For instance, save them for a few days, give it to a friend, hang it upside down to dry. After all, you have spent months meticulously planning your wedding. As a result, no detail went untouched. Most importantly, you want to save and cherish these memories. Let us help you with one more detail. Preserving your wedding bouquet.
Teresa, the founder of Floral Preservation Co. has a passion for preserving florals. As a result, she has worked years perfecting this process. She believes flowers evoke emotion and memories. Subsequently, she wants to help you remember every detail of the day you were married. Recently she worked with a new bride on this project. First they saved her wedding florals. Second, they gathered her wedding party for a fun crafty afternoon. Next, together they preserved the bouquets and table florals using Floral Preservation Co.’s patent-pending kit. The great thing about this kit is you can do it at home. Similarly, family members or friends preserve these memories for you, while you are away on your honeymoon.
That’s right, we said microwave your flowers. One of the steps of preserving your wedding flowers, is to put them in the microwave. By following the steps in the kit, you will retain the vibrancy of your bouquet. To sum it up, they will look very similar to when you held them on your wedding day.
Flowers hold powerful memories and emotions. For example, wild flowers from your first date. Or blush roses from your wedding day. Preserve your wedding bouquet in all it’s vibrancy and celebrate the memories for years.
