Lakeside Wedding Venue

Walking into BellaCosa Lakeside Lodge and Venue is like taking a step back in time. As a result, you can hear the walls whisper with glamorous parties. Including lavish gowns and the secrets from the elite that would frequent this beautiful estate. Without a doubt, this location is a bride’s dream wedding venue. Starting with the soft pink hues of the building. Followed by the waterfront lawn and patio area. Certainly, the original pecky cypress ceilings are a rarity in today’s modern world. Furthering the unique beauty of the venue. BellaCosa was constructed in 1925 and was originally known as Bonaire Lodge.

Furthermore, celebrities such as Marilyn Monroe, Al  Capone, Calvin Coolidge and even Bonnie and Clyde would treat this beautiful property as their winter hideaway. The wedding planner/designer, Danielle Silbiger said, “When it came to finding the inspiration for my styled shoot, it was directly in front of me. That is to say, the Mediterranean Architecture and the timelessness of Marilyn Monroe. Together it is the perfect theme for The Modern Day Marilyn Monroe Styled Shoot.

the Details of a Hollywood Wedding Theme

The classic elements that Marilyn Monroe represent, combined with exciting modern twists, create the perfect combination for a stunning Hollywood wedding theme.

First, the florals created by The Wild Hare Florist are dripping with elegance. The deep burgundies and golds bring out the boldness of Marilyn. As well as the greenery tying in beautifully with BellaCosa’s ambiance. Likewise, the deconstructed floral arch used for the ceremony. Then re-purposed for an elegant backdrop behind the sweetheart table. This new trend can be a unique variation from the traditional arch.

Also, the structure is great for re-purposing. Because it is in two sections. Allowing easy movement for your wedding team.

Ever Ella Events captures the timeless beauty of Marilyn with the classic invitation set. As well as, the menus with gold wax seals, and name cards. Blending the color palette perfectly with all the florals and décor.

Channeling Your Inner Marilyn Monroe

Can we talk about the Hair and Makeup done by Bronze +Glow Beauty? The Model (Ali) is to die for! Of course she channeled her inner Marilyn. With the classic Marilyn Red Lip and beautiful defined curls.

Unquestionably, the cake, designed by Artfully Sweet, is spectacular. Again with hints of gold and luxurious burgundy. Dyeing rice paper is a unique and eye-catching technique that really makes any cake a show-stopper.

enhance your wedding

Bar carts are just beginning to pop up in the wedding industry. And oh boy, do we love them.  Especially since they add a fun element of entertainment. In fact, they are great for some fabulous pictures too.

Champagne Social is the cutest cart that provides a fabulous interactive bar experience for your wedding. Or even your bridal shower, or bachelorette party. Another fun way to enhance your wedding day is to bring in lounge furniture for your guests. In deed, On the Move Productions had just the right lounge pieces. For instance, white fabric chairs and couches, trimmed in gold. As well as all the chargers and flatware.

On January 1st, 2022, the new, and beautiful, Sterling Event Venue opened its doors.  This Tuscan styled wedding venue is privately hidden among the hills and lakes of Clermont, FL. Unquestionably it is a magical place. Starting with the elegance and beautiful stonework. Next the trees and spring. Adding to that, the dreamy bridge crossing the stream and taking you to the the ceremony site. Singularly the perfect venue to celebrate the most special day of your life. And for this team of wedding vendors, a stunning backdrop for the first styled shoot of the year.

The Beauty of Dusty Blue

The theme of the styled shoot is “The Beauty of Dusty Blue”. Admittedly dusty blue and coral colors were picked because they coordinate so well with the building as the backdrop.

invitation Suite

Without a doubt we are in love with the stunning invitation suite by Kait from Bare Lettered Design. The invitation suite was in a beautiful dusty blue color. Just perfect for the shoot. Further, the address on the envelope was hand calligraphy done by Kait. Correspondingly making the invitation suite more personal.

Ceremony set-up

Elise van der Lee, the photographer, said, “The ceremony set up was one of my favorite elements of the shoot. The beautiful hexagon arch was center stage. Coupled with the light colored walls. And the chandeliers. Making the setup so dreamy.”

The arch was decorated with flowers. Likewise a flower-piece was placed on top of some crates that matched the arch. Finally, were the candles and candle holders. Such a beautiful set up to say yes to your best friend!

The cake is displayed on a vintage cart from EVP Rentals. As you can see, it is a welcome addition to the cake display. Speaking of cake, the gorgeous 3 tier cake was designed by Milk & Honey Clermont.  Also accented with flowers,  giving the finishing touch to the cake.

Matching cupcakes were added to complete the display. Best part of the day, is when the vendors and photographers could try one of the cupcakes.

A glamorous wedding can be created in a variety of different ways. This styled shoot uses a gold theme. Correspondingly the design incorporates an abundance of white flowers and gold accents. As a result, a sophisticated and elegant feel is achieved. Without a doubt the inspiration is endless. And the options are plentiful.

Starting with the details

As you can see, the glamorous wedding theme starts with the invitation set. Created by Berries and Blossoms, it exudes sophistication. Particularly with the gold foil accents and luxurious paper.

Likewise the gold theme is carried through the bar and reception tables. For example, the specialty cocktails are served in gold stem glasses.

Following this, the reception table is set with a white table linen. As well as white plates wrapped in gold ribbon. Coupled with gold flatware. Then flanked by gold napkins and gold rimmed glasses.

Finishing the details are the absolutely gorgeous wedding florals by The Flower Studio Altamonte. Unquestionably an abundance of white flowers. In contrast is the greenery and gold accents. Glamorous Wedding Big picture

Stepping away from the details, we look at the bigger picture. That is to say, the ceremony location and the couples. Because this is a styled shoot, a variety of couples are photographed.

Of course a styled shoot isn’t complete without a photograph with a luxury vehicle. This Rolls-Royce is provided by VIP Wedding Transportation.  Not only is it lovely to look at, but it also provides some great photo ops.

The University Club of Winter Park has a Mediterranean-style building. Moreover it is located on Historic Park Avenue in Winter Park, FL. Above all, this beautiful venue is surrounded by lush landscape and moss-laden oaks. As well as a gazebo for your outdoor wedding ceremony.

Love is an Art. Admittedly we think is a top contender for the best wedding theme ever. However, it was also the theme of a recent I Said Yes! event. So great was the theme, that we also turned it into styled shoot. Furthering our ability to share it with you. Indeed to inspire your wedding planning process.

No doubt the wedding planner who designed this event is full of creativity. Unquestionably every single detail reflected the theme. Meet Rebecca, of Live Love Laugh Events. Seriously, even her shirt coordinates.

The Wedding Venue Set The Stage

Obviously we have to start with the wedding venue. That is to say, the Cici and Hyatt Brown Museum of Arts at MOAS. Singularly the perfect location for this Love is an Art theme. For instance, the one-of-a-kind Florida art hanging in the gallery. Coupled with the grand staircase (prime location for your wedding ceremony grand entrance). Then filled with love in the form of dance.

Love is an Art dance performance
first dance example at styled shoot

As aforementioned, a choreographed dance was created especially for this event.  Without a doubt, all were entranced by this pair as they showcased the love of a marriage. Further, two hearts coming together as one. Certainly adding a choreographed dance to your wedding day will bring joy to all those in attendance. Also, it is a wonderful way to build trust and communication as newly weds. According to Oceans Dance Studio.

the Reception Tables

Starting with deep teal linens. Coupled with gold chargers and burnt orange napkins. Adding the soft glow of candles. And finishing with fall colored florals. These reception tables are simple, and elegant. One other thing, the menu cards carried the Love is an Art theme as well.

fall inspired styled shoot to inspire your wedding planning

Pumpkins and Fall colors

Without a doubt each element of this fall-inspired styled shoot was carefully picked and placed. Starting with burnt orange table runners atop wooden farm tables and chairs. Next each table held various pumpkins. For example, blown glass, burlap and painted. Coupled with decorated lanterns and the soft glow of candles. Finishing with ivory linen napkins and wooden napkin rings on white plates with wicker chargers.

Fall-inspired styled shoot turned oktobefest

Assuredly you can kick this fall inspiration up a notch. Or you can tone it down. Of course, we chose to kick it up. Correspondingly turning it into an Oktoberfest. That is to say we themed the food and the beverages as well. First an appetizer of beer cheese and pretzels. Next Apple Cider Mimosas and beer from Castle Church Brewing. Third a meal including chicken schnitzel and pumpkin bread pudding by River City Catering

Furthermore the beer was served from a mobile bar that this venue allows inside. Along with a beautiful interior and exterior, the Backyard Gatherings Mobile Bar has a built in photo backdrop. Likewise the VW Bus DJ booth by Mix on Wheels kept the energy high and provided a fun photo booth at the back. This intimate picnic wedding styled shoot has us swooning over this new trend. Start with warm fall colors. Coupled with pumpkins and twinkle lights. Add picnic style seating. And you have our idea of the perfect fall picnic wedding.

A Fall Affair Design

A Picnic Affair Orlando is the designer for this styled shoot. Admittedly, they love fall. For this reason, they created different fall scenes to showcase their “fall feelings” picnic options. In fact, they even had specialty “spooky” glasses made to touch on Halloween. One other thing, as you dream of your wedding theme, consider an intimate picnic wedding.

We asked Sigrid Savoury Platters, the caterer for this shoot, what she loved the most about it. She said, “making the fall vision come true.”

intimate picnic wedding with fall theme
pouring wine for picnic wedding reception

The designer wanted to include everything that gives her the “fall feels”.  As a result, there are warm greens and golds. Along with muted oranges and blues. As well as pops of soft pink and ivory. As you can see, all of these fall colors are mixed and matched throughout the styling. Starting with the wooden table flanked with comfy decorated pillows. Next, coordinating sets of colorful chargers, plates and napkins. Finishing with ivory table décor, a printed table runner and of course, some pink desserts.

Intimate Picnic wedding or Rehearsal

Unquestionably your wedding should reflect you as a couple. Consider all the things that make you, you. Above all the people and the things that bring you happiness. Then create your wedding around all of those things. For instance, gather your closest family and friends and plan an intimate picnic wedding. Or host a private rehearsal dinner, in a beautiful field set to celebrate your friendships and relationships. Also use this time to snap pre-wedding photos before the big day jitters.

charcuterie Anyone?

Who doesn’t love a charcuterie feast? Certainly we do and we can’t get enough of how it was served for this styled shoot. That is to say the individually prepared cones filled with all your favorite things. For example, tomatoes, cheese, salami and olives to start. Similarly are the simple but elegant mini desserts by Cami Bakery

We asked the expert, Sigrid Savoury Platters, for her advice on charcuterie for a wedding. She said, “If you are thinking out of the box on your special day, a charcuterie glass, cone or board will make a perfect fit.” And create a memorable experience for your guests.

picnis aren't just for micro weddings

A Picnic Affair Orlando says, “If you are thinking about having a micro wedding or elopement, consider a picnic. Admittedly, our clients and their guests are in love with the concept of the intimate wedding picnic setting. However, we are also able to accommodate larger groups. Tell us your vision and we will help bring it to life.”

A Picnic Affair intimate fall setting

This City Wedding styled shoot is a gorgeous representation of weddings in downtown Orlando, FL. Certainly bringing the luxury of the classic black and white design. Coupled with the city backdrop. Followed by impeccable styling. It all adds up to a stunning inspiration for planning your perfect city wedding.

Downtown Orlando Wedding Venue Dr Phillips Center

Why This City Wedding Venue

The concept designer and lead photographer, Nova Imagery, is the driving force behind choosing this city wedding venue. First she wanted modern and contemporary design.  Second choosing the perfect backdrop for a downtown Orlando wedding. Further, finding a location with views of the spectacular Florida sunsets. Without a doubt the Dr. Phillips Center terrace fits all these desired elements.

gorgeous views from city wedding Orlando
VIP Wedding Transportation for City Wedding Orlando

Certainly the addition of a sleek luxury vehicle by VIP Wedding Transportation is a must. For sure you should add this to your wedding planning checklist.

Florals and Table Décor

Each décor piece was especially chosen to compliment the black and white luxury theme. For example the brides bouquet and cake florals. As you can see the soft whites of the orchids and roses soften the harshness of the elegant black table setting. Indeed the black plates, flatware and chargers make a statement on the table. Coupled with the black candelabras and linen. Similar to the florals, the crystal stemware and clear table bring in an added modern touch and mirror the glass railing of the terrace.

1. Absolutely rooftop pictures when getting married in The City Beautiful.

2. A picture of the bride alone.

3. Likewise a picture of the groom.

4. Specifically at the Dr. Phillips Center. Elise says, “It has multiple gorgeous spots to take pictures. Indeed think about the beautiful stairs, in front of the entrance (with or without your car), in the theater or even at the lounge areas”

Generally speaking the best venues and vendors book up fast and this venue is definitely one of the best. Further, make sure you have enough time for sunset pictures on the roof and the spectacular view. Finally, take a moment together to take it all in when you look out over Downtown Orlando.”

Styled Shoots – how do they help your wedding business? We asked Heather Benge, Founder of Styled Shoots Across America, to answer this questions for us.

creative freedom

Build your portfolio and attract new clients by showcasing your creativity in a styled shoot. What does this mean exactly.  As wedding professionals, we have access to content from our couples weddings. However, when a client is paying for your services, you are at the mercy of what they want. Sure they probably choose you because you are good at what you do. However you still have to use their colors, their style, etc. Styled shoots give you the freedom to show off your own style and create whatever it is that YOU want to create. Further you can create new trends – be a trendsetter! A lot of my branding clients tell me that they would love to create something out of the box, bigger or better than they’ve ever done. But they just can’t get anyone to hire them for it because they have no previous experience or images to show that they can do it. Therefore, this is your chance to try something bigger and better to show clients that you can make it happen!

branding your business and social media

When you do a shoot, you can choose to do them in colors and styles that match your brand. That is to say, use it to your benefit and get the most out of it! Consider this, what do you want to show off on social media? Or are you tired of not having a diverse client base? Further are you ready to showcase some new skills? Certainly you will attract your ideal client by showing off your ideal work. In fact, it is the best recipe!

For example, the photos above are from a styled shoot created by The Event Company.  The owner had been dreaming of a way to use her company colors.  See the entire shoot in this Remarkable Moody Romantic Wedding in Orlando blog.

networking and vendor relationships

How can you refer another wedding professional if you’ve never actually worked with them? In this situation, turn to styled shoots. Unquestionably they are a great way to work with someone so that you can refer each other! Similarly, I highly suggest that no matter what you contribute to the shoot, you should absolutely show up on the day of. Assuredly I have met some of the best creatives at shoots. This is a time to get to know each other, see others work/workmanship in person and build relationships.

Consider turning a networking event into a styled shoot. For instance, Mission Inn Resort & Club Weddings hosted and I Said Yes! Networking Event with a throwback to the 70’s. They worked with their sponsoring vendors and scheduled time before and after the event to turn this into a styled shoot. This allows the sponsoring.

gain experience

Maybe you are a photographer who struggles with shooting in harsh sun. Then a styled shoot in the sun is a perfect way to experiment with your camera settings and gain some experience in a less pressured environment than a real wedding day. Likewise, embrace rain or darkness. Whatever the case maybe, it will only help you learn to adapt to these conditions. In the same vein, maybe you’re a cake baker and you need to see what kinds of frostings or designs will hold up in certain heat condition. By participating in this styled shoot, you can now be comfortable when consulting with a client on cake placement and timing at their wedding. Same with flowers. No doubt, you don’t want to find out on a client’s real wedding day that hydrangeas don’t do so good out of water in a bouquet for 5 hours in the hot Florida heat.

styled shoots give you exposure

The good thing about styled shoots is everyone knows everyone’s credit information. Activity breeds activity. In this situation, TAG EVERYONE AND EVERYTHING, EVERYTIME. All it takes is one image from a shoot to hit social media and all of sudden thousands of eyes are on your work.

book more destination weddings

People ask me all the time how I book weddings in other states. My answer is always the same. You have to be seen in those states. That is to say, you can’t just hashtag #newyorkweddingplanner on a random picture from a wedding in Texas and hope someone will book you. For this reason, you need to get out and go to the destinations you are wanting to be seen in. Next explore the area and take pictures of the surroundings. Further do a styled shoot. Indeed do anything to get yourself noticed in the local area. For example, I did a styled shoot in Hawaii and I’ve gotten at least 5 different inquires for Hawaii weddings since then. It works if you put in the work

Weddings in Orlando come in a million different styles and themes. As a result, styled shoots, like this one, are a perfect way for you to find your wedding style ideas.

Moody Romance wedding in orlando

D’Space Orlando is a wedding venue offering a blank canvas and touting themselves as  “Orlando’s First Modern-Industrial Event Venue”.  Hence the moody romantic theme for this styled shoot. Subsequently, we asked the wedding planner, Candace of The Event Company, about this theme. Her response was, “My favorite colors are blush and gold, well and my brand colors as well. Also I have been dying to utilize black, but wasn’t quite sure how it would come together. When the owner of D’Space Orlando asked me to design a styled shoot, I decided on a moody romance theme. Utilizing my love of blush and gold and adding a touch of dark, we created this moody romantic shoot.” As a result, this styled shoot tantalizes your senses with a little mood and a little love.  See below how each detail added to the creation of this vision.

Flowers, Flowers, Flowers

Starting with the flowers. Atmospheres Floral and Décor created lush romantic groupings of blush, pink, white, ivory and green. In fact, these stunning florals set the backdrop for the ceremony and cake table. As well as providing the soft romantic touch. Therefore balancing the harsh black tones of the linens and cake.

Speaking of cake. Wow this cake is drop dead gorgeous. Undoubtedly the cake designer embraced the essence of this theme. That is to say with the soft floral top tier and blush center. Balanced perfectly by the black textured floral bottom tier. Add to that the drama of the extra tall tiers and you have the perfect ending to your wedding day.

make the details speak volumes

When planning your wedding be sure to carry your theme through all the details. For instance, your stationery, signage and menu cards. This is why these invitations are blush and white, enveloped in black, with a romantic font. Of course, continuing along with the same font on the bar sign.

Moody and black linens for the reception table are softened with gold tones and blush menu cards. Simple patterned white china adds an additional touch of romance.

bringing the bubbly to this wedding in orlando

“She’s got that certain ‘je ne sais quoi’. She doesn’t fit in (nor does she want to)” and we agree. Unquestionably the  Bubble Buggi is a must have for this moody romantic theme. Bringing some bubbly, some whimsy and a little drama. Certainly a great photo opportunity as well.

Advice from an expert. We asked the wedding planner for advice on planning your wedding at D’Space Orlando. She replied, “make sure that you use all of the space offered. With a separate space upstairs, you can always offer a cocktail reception up there. The opportunities are endless with a blank canvas. It just gets your creative juices flowing. And if that doesn’t work, hire a planner.” Quote by The Event Company
