Celebrate love and history with a wedding at a historic Florida wedding venue. For example, one of Florida’s first “attractions” was The Citrus Tower. Built in 1956 on one of the highest hills in Florida. This observation tower rises 226 feet into the sky. Offering stunning views, rich history and classic Florida charm. Therefore it is the perfect backdrop for your wedding.
This styled shoot was created and designed by Seas Your Day Events. The inspiration came from the theme – Citrus Luxe. To sum it up, they married the Old Florida charm with a modern elegant flair. In addition, they partnered with some local Clermont wedding professionals to further celebrate the connection to the community. For instance, the photographers of PB&J Studios. Who beautifully captured the charm and nostalgia of this venue.
Take your wedding reception to new heights. That is to say, welcome your guests to the Citrus Tower Observation deck. Soaring 22 stories above the ground, your guests will have a panoramic view of Lake County, FL. First the rolling hills of Florida’s ridge section. And then the hundreds of spring-fed lakes.
Celebrate love and history by throwing back to the days of orange groves. For example, serve citrus themed food and dessert. Similarly, decorate this charming historic venue with citrus hues and green foliage. To sum it up you will feast your eyes on the views and the food.
This styled shoot highlighted the versatility and nostalgia only a true Florida landmark could achieve. Most importantly, the shoot embodied the unique elegance of a historical Florida wedding venue. But also the fun that comes with bringing individual couples’ dreams to life.
For instance, you can end your day with some video game fun and friendly competition in the arcade located on the first floor. And don’t forget your sparkler exit.

*The bite the frog reference is from a quote by Mark Twain, “If it’s your job to eat a frog, it’s best to do it first thing in the morning. And if it’s your job to eat two frogs, it’s best to eat the biggest one first.” Therefore, bite the frog and do the hard thing, go network.
Don’t get tripped up on your wedding colors ideas. Consider using the colors of the year. Each year Pantone releases a new Color of the Year. However, this year they released not one, but two colors. As a result, we introduce you to Ultimate Grey and Illuminating (a bold yellow tone). Nationwide, the wedding industry has mixed emotions on this combination. We, on the other hand, are ready to show you 10 easy ways to use the colors of the year for 2021.Â
Jaclyn, owner of At Last Wedding + Event Design, is the inspiration behind this gorgeous installation. She says “I actually love the color yellow and feel it’s greatly underutilized at weddings.” She put together this event design to show how these colors can come together quite beautifully. Here are her wedding colors ideas. For example, take this floral extravaganza created by In Boom Florist. First, pops of golden, oranges and yellow were brought in. Secondly, greens were added to balance and accent the bright colors. Lastly they focused on both the smallest detail of a single flower, to the florals on the chandeliers. Speak with your florist to get their input on adding a additional colors to balance the brightness and add depth.
Gray is the new favorite neutral color. Consider using it as a backdrop to soften the bright yellow hues in your design. For instance, your stemware and place setting will stand out with the gray linen. Keep it neutral by adding silver chivari chairs. Similarly with an accent sofa and a simple vase on your cocktail tables.Â
Mix and match both your décor pieces and your colors. For example, use different styles and colors. These fun and eclectic chairs are provided by Ocean Hawks Rentals.Â
Additionally, consider gold chargers and silver flatware on some tables. For others use white plates with gold accents and gold flatware.
On the other hand, have your florist include coordinating colored flowers. Furthermore, don’t forget to speak with your caterer to add your wedding colors into your food and beverage service.
Speak with your wedding professionals and ask them for advice on how to include your wedding colors within their product and services.
Below is a list of 10 easy ways to do just that during your cocktail hour and wedding reception:

Planning your wedding can be overwhelming and even tricky at times. So many decisions to make and so many options available. But don’t worry. We have advice for you. This couple who has been there and done that. Introducing, Sarah-Ann and Alfie. They share their wedding and their wedding planning advice.
How do you pick the date? Do you choose the day you went on your first date? How about a lucky number combination like 2-22-22 or your favorite holiday. Sarah-Ann and Alfie chose the day they first met and their favorite holiday – October 31st. Sarah-Ann says, “We wanted our Hallowedding to feel like a fun and spooky Halloween party and our coordinator, of Costal Coordinating, and her team definitely helped to make that idea come to life!”Â
To play to the theme, floral arrangements were created in Halloween colors. In the same vein, orange linens added a bright pop of color. Similarly, the bridesmaids wore juniper green dresses. Green also happens to be the groom’s favorite color. Meanwhile the groom and groomsmen wore navy suits. As a result, the suits became the running gag. Due to the fact that several of the groom’s closest friends were married in the suits they wore to the wedding. Sarah-Ann wore a traditional white wedding dress.
Planning your wedding should actually start with the wedding venue. Even though Central Florida alone has over 400 venues, many of the most popular locations sell out of weekend dates. Therefore, be sure you have a signed contract with your venue securing your date before you send out your save the dates.
Alfie and Sarah-Ann chose The Treasury on The Plaza in St. Augustine, FL. This happy couple chose their venue mainly based off of how beautiful the vault and cathedral ballroom are. To make a special moment for the couple, the coordinator brought them into the reception area prior to guest arrival. Sarah-Ann said, “It was amazing to see our ideas come to life and it looked better than we imagined.” Likewise, they created a special moment for their guests by coming out of the hidden vault instead of through the main entrance.
Add your personal details to your wedding. Make it special and memorable for you and your guests. For instance, this couple asked their couples to attend in costume in celebration of the theme. They wanted to have a fun and spooky wedding rather than the traditional style. In addition, the bridesmaids are the sisters of the bride and the maid of honor is the bride’s best friend since high school. In the same vein, the groomsmen are all old college roommates.
This couple has 6 pieces of wedding planning advice:
Venue: Treasury on The Plaza
Planner: Coastal Coordinating

A wedding reception venue can be uniquely styled to match your wedding design. The same venue can look completely different depending on the décor and design. In this installment of our Florida Wedding Venue series, we look at Paradise Cove and two different holiday events.
Tucked away in a private corner of Lake Buena Vista, Paradise Cove is an idyllic oasis on the shores of Lake Bryan. Complete with white sandy beaches, swaying palms, and cypress trees. In addition, twinkling lights and tiki torches add to the magical glow of this secluded paradise. The natural and scenic beauty of Lake Bryan creates a wonderful backdrop for the ultimate wedding in paradise. Continue reading to see how you can create this into your own personally designed paradise.
Atmospheres Floral and Decor created two stunningly different looks with the chandeliers. First is a colorful array of florals and greenery suspended with-in gorgeous wooden chandeliers. Pulling in the bright wedding colors and the wooden elements, an almost boho-chic-modern holiday was fashioned. The chandeliers are complemented by a simple white celing drape. In contrast, the second option is adorned with crystals and lights to soften and light the ceiling. This elegant chandelier is the perfect option to compliment the-over-the-top floral ceiling installation. As a result, both options provide a completely different look and feel to this wedding reception venue.
We absolutely must stop to admire the floral ceiling installation completed by Atmospheres Floral and Décor in the photo on the right above. If you want a statement piece for your wedding reception venue décor – look up and dream big. You cannot go wrong with a floral installation. To sum up this wedding decoration option – go big and get married!
Work closely with your floral designer to pick the centerpieces and décor that best fit your style and budget. First choose the type of table and seating you want for your wedding reception guests. Do you want family style like the top row of photos below, or more intimate seating like the examples in the bottom row? Can’t decide – do some of both.
Second, choose your place settings and consider the amount of room each will consume on the table.
Lastly, balance the room. If you go big on the ceiling, balance it more simply on the table. If you go more simple on the ceiling – add more drama to your table.Â
Choose the cake or dessert option that appeals to your sweet tooth. For example, you like chocolate and your fiancé likes vanilla. That’s ok, get multiple flavors of cupcakes or different flavored tiers of cake.
Share your wedding style and décor options with your cake designer so your cake is a sweet compliment to your reception space.
In conclusion, when it comes to dessert, you can’t go wrong. The two styles featured here are simple cupcakes and a simple 3 tier cake with some flower drama.
Your wedding reception is your time to celebrate love and happiness. Surprise your guests with live entertainment. If your wedding reception venue has space, the options are endless.
First start with your DJ to keep the party going all night and to control the energy in the room with the music selection.
Second provide a live entertainment performance that wows your guests. For example, the two events featured here had: Samba dancers by Spirit of Samba;Â an artist creating personalized wedding favors by Leo’z Arts & Photography;Â Â Santa, Mrs. Claus and Elf provided by P.S. I Love You Productions; snow princess by Key Artist Group; and a champagne girl.
To sum up, design your reception to match your unique wedding style. Each wedding reception venue can be decorated differently to show off you and your fiancé on your special day. Whether you go big and dramatic or small and simple, at the end of the day, you have married your best friend.Â

Do you want ideas to plan your delightful Merry Christmas Wedding? This amazing group of Orlando Wedding Vendors created a stunning styled shoot to inspire your wedding planning. From the invitations to the couple’s attire, get inspired. Christmas Wedding theme does not have to be traditional red and green.
First, start with your wedding venue. This styled shoot used B Resort as the backdrop.
After that, choose a color palette that represents the season and your personality. The lush greens with gold accents are perfectly festive.
Third, be creative and have fun!
Let’s start from the beginning, with your color palette and invitations. This styled shoot used deep greens, golds and whites to represent the holiday season. Black was brought in to heighten the sense of elegance. The invitatios introduce this theme right away to the guests with an elegant black envelope. Once opened they are met with a whimsical “Oh What Fun” inscription and a small piece of evergreen.Â
The wedding planner of this styled shoot, Bella Sposa Events , beautifully brought this Christmas Wedding to life with the table scape. First with stunning gold chairs that have green velvet cushions. Secondly, green napkins and gold flatware. Further with the white, black and evergreen table décor. To bring some more of the holiday fun, an “Eat, Drink, & Be Merry” menu sign is added to the table.
Be true to you when choosing your wedding attire. Whether traditional wedding dress, or something unique, make it special. The bride here wore a simple, but stunning, green velvet gown. Subsequently it perfectly matched the color palette and theme. Similarly, the groom wore a black velvet coat. In addition, he donned a winter pant with a simple red bow tie for a pop of color.
Cake is the sweetest ending to your perfect wedding day. The Cake Studio created this simple wedding cake. However, the Christmas Wedding theme did not get missed. For example, the gold deer topper and evergreen accents. We cannot leave out this amazing cake table by Gala Rentals. Add a pop of color and fun to your special day with simple additions.
And don’t forget to have fun with your theme. This bride and groom clearly enjoyed the wedding cake cutting!
Above all, have fun with your wedding planning. Whether a themed Christmas Wedding, or a simple micro-wedding, you do what makes you happy. This is your wedding day and you should laugh and smile and cry and love. These models were the perfect example of what having fun looks like.
Choose a photographer that will capture these moments. Speak with them in advance and let them know you want them to catch your fun side at the wedding.Â
In conclusion, enjoy the journey of wedding planning. Choose the details that are important to you. After that, have fun. Cheers to your perfect wedding day.

Nature sets the backdrop for your wedding. Florida is uniquely diversified in the types backdrops available. With 1,350 miles of coastline, 3,000 lakes, big cities, amusement parks, rolling hills, swamp and flat lands, the possibilities are endless. However, we can’t forget that two-fifths of Florida’s land is considered farmland, and much of that being pasture. For example, take Lovelock Ranch. This family owned, working cattle farm is on Carlton Lake, just 30 minutes from Tampa. It boasts a 5,000+ square foot barn with a modern Western aesthetic perfect for cocktail hour and reception. In addition, it has dreamy fields, cypress trees and a tee pee constructed of repurposed pine. This styled shoot is dripping with romantic charm, fall florals and an unexpected guest.
Blooming Flowers and Art created beautiful floral bridal hats. They are not only unique, but give that added flair of fall beauty. Similarly, they created a floral hoop instead of a traditional wedding bouquet style. As a result, these florals create a statement that represents you as the one-of-a-kind bride. Speak with your florist about creative ways to incorporate your personal style and uniqueness into your special day.
Surprise your wedding guests with a visit from an unexpected attendee. Fairytale Petcare are the handlers for this special guest – a llama. That’s right, a llama made an appearance and the cuteness is on overload. Animal guests are trending at weddings, from llama’s, to sloths to beverage burrows. Many of these animals are rescues and they love the attention. Furthermore, they are adorable in your wedding photos.
Charcuterie boards and coffee – you can’t go wrong. Make your wedding extra special by serving your guests some of your favorite things. First, consider pleasing their pallets with a variety of cheeses, fruits and crackers at cocktail hour. These days you can even order individual charcuterie boxes for each guest. Second, choose food that represents you as a couple. Merge your favorite foods into a smorgasbord of courses so you each get something you enjoy. Lastly, don’t forget the dessert and coffee. This 3 tier cake by Tampa Bay Cake Company is sure to wow your guests. Most importantly, everything is made better with specialty coffee in to go cups.
The stunning chandeliers inside the barn and the beautiful barn doors set a gorgeous backdrop for photos. Almost as beautiful as the sunset over the fields with your new spouse and a llama. Whatever type of Florida wedding venue you choose, make it uniquely you. Work with each of your wedding professionals to tell your love story the way you want it told.

Laura and James got married on July 17, 2020 with an Intimate Wedding in Little Italy. That is to say, Maggiano’s Little Italy in Pointe Orlando. This Florida wedding venue’s goal is to “make people feel special.” What better way to make people feel special, than on their wedding day. The ceremony, reception and photos all took place in and around this unique local wedding venue.Â
The couple kept the guest list small and intimate. However, the memories are huge. The big day began in the Maggiano’s hiding rooms. This is where the bride and groom got dressed and prepared for their special day. Once dressed, James went outside on International Drive and the photographers of Steven Miller Photography prepared him for the first look.Â
Once James was ready, Laura walked out. Then she tapped James on the shoulder. After that, he turned around and saw his beautiful bride for the first time on their wedding day. They then shared a sweet moment. A memory captured by the photographers. After wiping away a few tears, the bridal party joined the fun. The small and intimate bridal party, was big on fun and even bigger on memories. Pointe Orlando and International Drive provided the backdrop for capturing bridal party and personal portraits.
After the outdoor bridal party photos, it was time to go back inside for the indoor wedding ceremony. The ceremony took place inside Maggiano’s Little Italy. It was officiated by their close, personal friend. After the ceremony, the photographers captured family portraits. Then on to the reception with food, dessert and dancing.
Maggiano’s provided a delicious meal for the wedding guests. Meanwhile, the newlyweds shared a dessert cutting. The photographer said this couple was so fun to photograph. Everyone in their party was extremely genuine and sweet. They wish Laura and James the very best.
Steven Miller Photography is a photography company with a purpose. They give each of their couples a sapling, small tree, to plant in celebration of their special day. Their team motto is Look Good, Feel Good, Do Good. They cannot wait to see “James’s bonsai skills pay off with his Bald Cypress Tree soon.”

I DOs & BREWS is our wedding planning date night. In other words, it is a way for couples to plan their weddings and meet vendors outside of the traditional ballroom style wedding expo. We love traditional wedding shows, but I DOs and BREWS give a unique spin. For instance, including an outdoor element. Having this outdoor space means we can easily include wedding vendors like Beautiful Creatures Animal Ranch. They bring the cuteness factor to your wedding. For example, a beverage burrow (his name is Strings) and llamas.
In addition, this open outdoor space also allows us to showcase mobile wedding vendors. For instance, LUXE FLUSH – luxury A/C and heated mobile restrooms. Similarly, Bow Tie Spirits, a mobile bar built out of a horse trailer. Typically these types of mobile vendors don’t bring their vehicles into traditional ballroom wedding expos. Similarly, Orlando Photo Bus. This 1971 VW Bay Window Bus, Lulu, is The Original Orlando Photo Bus!
Above all, I DOs and BREWS includes local breweries. In the last decade, breweries have skyrocketed in Florida. We partnered with the 2nd oldest brewery in Central Florida for this event – Hourglass Brewing. The November 19th I DOs and BREWS was hosted at the Longwood location. With a 240 seat tap room, an in-house scavenger hunt and geek culture galore, it’s a must see brewery. Hourglass is known for only using natural ingredients in its 340 brews. In addition, you can see the brewing process through the glass. Furthermore, they have a DOG friendly patio! To top it all off, Hourglass created the I DO BREW, a citrusy ale.
Hourglass Brewery also has a private event space. Sourglass Brewing is right next door. This is the fermentation House. It is adorned with wooden barrels, additional seating, a bar and market lights. It is perfect for smaller wedding receptions, micro-weddings and bridal showers. So grab a glass of I DO BREW and check out Sourglass for your next event.Â
Couples can expect to sample an array of beverage options at I DOs and BREWS. Similarly to the Brew Partners, we also work with wine partners. For instance, Silk Road Wines is a veteran owned company, specializing in natural red and white wines. They are imported from the country of Georgia, which is believed to be the birthplace of wine.Â
Similarly, is PRP Wine. They bring the wine to you with in-home sampling services. To sum it up, they bring the look and feel of the wineries they represent right to your doorstep.Â
With any I Said Yes! FL event, we bring you the best of the best. Our event sponsors know how to create an atmosphere like no other. Cheers to our I DOs and BREWS Sponsors.Â
First, Live Happy Studio , our photography sponsor. We have worked with Lindsay & Kellie on several events. Their energy matches everything I DOs and BREWS is about!Â
Second, couples were greeted with Kendra Scott bags to gather all their swag at the event.
Third, Let there be light. Get Lit Productions lit up the night with the market lights outside of Hourglass Brewing. Get Lit Productions provides all your event lighting needs. From chandeliers, spot lights, twinkle lights and market lights to something you just dreamed up.
What’s a party without a DJ? I DOs and BREWS brings you two! With inside and outside event space, our team wants you to be entertained no matter where you are.
DJ Yves Entertainment set up inside the Hourglass tap room! Need a DJ who can spin and MC, then DJ Yves is your man! Â
Outside, Press Play Entertainment kept the party atmosphere going with two DJ’s. Orlando & Rey have decades of experience between them and these guys will keep your guests on the dance floor all night.
