A Wedding Florist in Orlando, FL offers her advice on the best ways to work with your florist. That is to say, she gives her top 5 tips on how to work with your wedding florist. Generally speaking this is meant to be a floral wedding guide. Absolutely do your research and compare floral wedding vendors to find the perfect fit for your wedding day.
No doubt, with 28 years of experience in the business, Andie with Events by The Flower Studio is considered an expert in the field. For this reason, her first tip is to book your wedding florist as soon as you have a date. Even if you are being careful and flexible with your budget, she says to book her “Save the Date” right away. Then worry about the details later.
Obviously your wedding bouquet is an important part of your special day. Consider these two options: soft hues and wheat grass. Or bright bold florals and berries.
Next is how to best communicate with your florist. With so many options available, email, phone call, text message, direct message, etc., make sure you didn’t end up in junk, or lost. For example, an email is great, but sometimes they automatically get sent to junk. Undoubtedly this will make it difficult for your email to be returned. Don’t miss the chance to speak with your dream florist. Certainly, if you don’t hear back from your email or DM, make a quick phone call. Andie says they “Promise to return your call if you leave a message”. However, all wedding florists operate differently, be sure to find out from your florist their preferred method of communication. In turn, this will make your wedding floral plans run more smoothly.
Tip #3 – What are your priorities when it comes to flowers at your wedding? Assuredly you will have to decide which floral pieces are absolute musts for your wedding. For instance, do you want a ceremony arch and aisle décor. Or none of those. Similarly, what about the size and style and number of reception table centerpieces. Further, must you have out of season flowers, or will a seasonal substitution do. Make a plan and share it with your wedding florist. So together you create your perfect wedding.
Fourth tip, every item has a price. Andie says many times she hears “Oh, I didn’t know flowers were this expensive.” Following this, she replies, “They are not. You just don’t know because you never needed this many flowers before.” Moreover she says, it’s OK, she is here to guide you. As a result, she will discuss your non-negotiables, help you select your flowers and create your plan and floral budget. As a rule, her average wedding floral budget for her couples is between $2,500 – $3,500 (2021 numbers). But they can do below $1,00 and over $10,000. Of course every item has a price. So work with your wedding florist to build your floral plan and budget. Assuredly each wedding florist will have differing prices, speak first to your florist about their pricing structure before you make your final commitment.
Lastly, it’s all about you. Whatever your perfect wedding looks like, do it. Speak directly with your wedding florist about your vision. Then be open to ideas and suggestions, and listen. Additionally, they are the experts and may have some ideas you have not considered. Above all, have fun and toss that bouquet on your wedding day!

The wedding bouquet toss is a tradition that is still performed at today’s weddings. Therefore, we cannot feature this real wedding of Kendall and Tyler without highlighting this moment of their wedding day. First, during her speech, the maid of honor mentioned her favorite meal, often enjoyed with the bride. Then, right before the wedding bouquet toss, she handed the wedding planner a bag of #9 meals from McDonalds. That is to say, a Filet-O-Fish meal. Apparently the aforementioned favorite meal was said Filet-O-Fish from McDonalds. Hence the bouquet toss of Filet-O-Fish meals for the girls.
Of course, after a few laughs, the bride continued on with the traditional wedding bouquet toss.
Special Moments Event Planning assisted this Florida couple with full-service wedding planning. In contrast to the surprise wedding bouquet toss, the ceremony was elegant and beautiful. Start with the gorgeous Gulf of Mexico as the backdrop. Next add the white sands of the Clearwater, FL beach. Further, white garden chairs with gold lanterns and white rose petals as décor. As a result, the perfect scene was set for a lovely beach wedding.
Before walking down the aisle. The couple enjoyed precious time with their attendants and family. As you can see the bride spent time with her mother getting ready. Likewise the groom and his father.
Certainly the couple also had some pre-wedding fun with their attendants. That is to say, a round or two of shots.
From the invitations to the wedding reception tables, the navy, white and gold wedding colors were perfectly reflected. Especially in the invitations with the navy paper and gold accents. Of course the bride’s stunning gown with spaghetti straps and high leg slit took center stage. Additionally the wedding bouquets of white orchids and garden roses were set off by the bridesmaids navy gowns. The men wore tan suits with navy vests and ties. In contrast, the groom wore a navy suit with tan vest and navy tie. Accordingly, the white sand beaches and blue ocean put the finishing touches on this elegant beachside wedding at Opal Sands Resort.
Kendall and Tyler chose a first look before the ceremony. Many couples use this as an opportunity to shake off the wedding day nerves. Additionally it allows for a few private moments together to reflect on the ceremony ahead.
Furthermore Kendall chose a first look with her father.
Unquestionably, tying the knot on a beach, with the sun and ocean behind. With the love of your life in front of you. And your friends and family surrounding you. Adds up to the perfect wedding day.
Wedding photographer, Kristen Marie Photography, used the setting sun to capture memories for a lifetime for Kendall and Tyler.
Time to celebrate. That is to say, first dances, food service and cake cutting. And of course the wedding bouquet toss. The wedding reception began with a first dance by the newlyweds. Followed by a delicious meal prepared by the staff at Opal Sands Resort. Likewise a modern, smooth finish cake created by The Artistic Wish, with simple navy accents and fresh florals. Obviously we can’t end this post without re-mentioning the surprise wedding bouquet toss. How about those #9 meals of Filet-O-Fish. Finally, the bride’s doggie best friend was in attendance as well. We wish Kendall and Tyler a lifetime of wedded happiness.

To create the best dang Florida barn wedding ever, Sarah and Nick started by choosing their wedding venue. BLB Hacienda is a breathtaking barn venue and horse farm where you get up close and personal with stunning retired Disney horses who now live on the property. The venue website says you will be enchanted by the beautiful landscape and features. Next the barn was decorated romantically with garden style décor. Sarah’s sister, Heather, transformed the space into the bride’s vision of her dream wedding. As a result, they achieved the garden style look she wanted with-in the barn wedding venue.
The bride wanted garden style décor. To achieve this, the wedding venue was filled with a variety of décor. For example, different height centerpieces with candelabras, floral and candles. Further with lanterns and greenery. The sweetheart table was framed by two trees. In addition, “The Lupos” sign made a statement backdrop on the hedge walls behind the sweetheart table. Likewise the brides bouquet used the wedding colors of ivory, blush, gold and greenery.
The groom, Nick, is a whiskey and cigar guy. So the photographer, Angelika Krug Photography created this special memento just for the groom. That is to say she shot a detail of his favorite Jack Daniels whiskey, and his wedding day shoes and tie. Similarly the brides beautiful shoes and wedding rings were also captured as a special memory.
Above all, are the sweet moments shared with family. The Father of the Bride gave a speech about the couple. He told everyone a story about how his little girl was always his “Sarah Cinderella”. To clarify, from the time she was a little girl, he would dress her up for church. When he did his first look with Sarah in her wedding gown, he said that today, she truly is, his “Sarah Cinderella”.
Sarah was also able to spend special time with her sisters and mother. For instance, while she was getting ready, her mother helped her with her veil. Further, several of the bridesmaids were her sisters.
Starting with the gorgeous barn wedding venue as the backdrop. Then adding all the beautiful garden style décor. Next the simple touches of the Jack Daniels Whiskey for the groom and “The Lupos” sign. Further the special moments with the family. Last the joining of Sarah and Nick as husband and wife. In conclusion, these elements all came together to give Sarah and Nick their dream wedding and we believe the best dang Florida barn wedding ever.

Have you ever wondered what to do with your flowers after your wedding? For instance, save them for a few days, give it to a friend, hang it upside down to dry. After all, you have spent months meticulously planning your wedding. As a result, no detail went untouched. Most importantly, you want to save and cherish these memories. Let us help you with one more detail. Preserving your wedding bouquet.
Teresa, the founder of Floral Preservation Co. has a passion for preserving florals. As a result, she has worked years perfecting this process. She believes flowers evoke emotion and memories. Subsequently, she wants to help you remember every detail of the day you were married. Recently she worked with a new bride on this project. First they saved her wedding florals. Second, they gathered her wedding party for a fun crafty afternoon. Next, together they preserved the bouquets and table florals using Floral Preservation Co.’s patent-pending kit. The great thing about this kit is you can do it at home. Similarly, family members or friends preserve these memories for you, while you are away on your honeymoon.
That’s right, we said microwave your flowers. One of the steps of preserving your wedding flowers, is to put them in the microwave. By following the steps in the kit, you will retain the vibrancy of your bouquet. To sum it up, they will look very similar to when you held them on your wedding day.
Flowers hold powerful memories and emotions. For example, wild flowers from your first date. Or blush roses from your wedding day. Preserve your wedding bouquet in all it’s vibrancy and celebrate the memories for years.

Don’t get tripped up on your wedding colors ideas. Consider using the colors of the year. Each year Pantone releases a new Color of the Year. However, this year they released not one, but two colors. As a result, we introduce you to Ultimate Grey and Illuminating (a bold yellow tone). Nationwide, the wedding industry has mixed emotions on this combination. We, on the other hand, are ready to show you 10 easy ways to use the colors of the year for 2021.
Jaclyn, owner of At Last Wedding + Event Design, is the inspiration behind this gorgeous installation. She says “I actually love the color yellow and feel it’s greatly underutilized at weddings.” She put together this event design to show how these colors can come together quite beautifully. Here are her wedding colors ideas. For example, take this floral extravaganza created by In Boom Florist. First, pops of golden, oranges and yellow were brought in. Secondly, greens were added to balance and accent the bright colors. Lastly they focused on both the smallest detail of a single flower, to the florals on the chandeliers. Speak with your florist to get their input on adding a additional colors to balance the brightness and add depth.
Gray is the new favorite neutral color. Consider using it as a backdrop to soften the bright yellow hues in your design. For instance, your stemware and place setting will stand out with the gray linen. Keep it neutral by adding silver chivari chairs. Similarly with an accent sofa and a simple vase on your cocktail tables.
Mix and match both your décor pieces and your colors. For example, use different styles and colors. These fun and eclectic chairs are provided by Ocean Hawks Rentals.
Additionally, consider gold chargers and silver flatware on some tables. For others use white plates with gold accents and gold flatware.
On the other hand, have your florist include coordinating colored flowers. Furthermore, don’t forget to speak with your caterer to add your wedding colors into your food and beverage service.
Speak with your wedding professionals and ask them for advice on how to include your wedding colors within their product and services.
Below is a list of 10 easy ways to do just that during your cocktail hour and wedding reception:

A wedding reception venue can be uniquely styled to match your wedding design. The same venue can look completely different depending on the décor and design. In this installment of our Florida Wedding Venue series, we look at Paradise Cove and two different holiday events.
Tucked away in a private corner of Lake Buena Vista, Paradise Cove is an idyllic oasis on the shores of Lake Bryan. Complete with white sandy beaches, swaying palms, and cypress trees. In addition, twinkling lights and tiki torches add to the magical glow of this secluded paradise. The natural and scenic beauty of Lake Bryan creates a wonderful backdrop for the ultimate wedding in paradise. Continue reading to see how you can create this into your own personally designed paradise.
Atmospheres Floral and Decor created two stunningly different looks with the chandeliers. First is a colorful array of florals and greenery suspended with-in gorgeous wooden chandeliers. Pulling in the bright wedding colors and the wooden elements, an almost boho-chic-modern holiday was fashioned. The chandeliers are complemented by a simple white celing drape. In contrast, the second option is adorned with crystals and lights to soften and light the ceiling. This elegant chandelier is the perfect option to compliment the-over-the-top floral ceiling installation. As a result, both options provide a completely different look and feel to this wedding reception venue.
We absolutely must stop to admire the floral ceiling installation completed by Atmospheres Floral and Décor in the photo on the right above. If you want a statement piece for your wedding reception venue décor – look up and dream big. You cannot go wrong with a floral installation. To sum up this wedding decoration option – go big and get married!
Work closely with your floral designer to pick the centerpieces and décor that best fit your style and budget. First choose the type of table and seating you want for your wedding reception guests. Do you want family style like the top row of photos below, or more intimate seating like the examples in the bottom row? Can’t decide – do some of both.
Second, choose your place settings and consider the amount of room each will consume on the table.
Lastly, balance the room. If you go big on the ceiling, balance it more simply on the table. If you go more simple on the ceiling – add more drama to your table.
Choose the cake or dessert option that appeals to your sweet tooth. For example, you like chocolate and your fiancé likes vanilla. That’s ok, get multiple flavors of cupcakes or different flavored tiers of cake.
Share your wedding style and décor options with your cake designer so your cake is a sweet compliment to your reception space.
In conclusion, when it comes to dessert, you can’t go wrong. The two styles featured here are simple cupcakes and a simple 3 tier cake with some flower drama.
Your wedding reception is your time to celebrate love and happiness. Surprise your guests with live entertainment. If your wedding reception venue has space, the options are endless.
First start with your DJ to keep the party going all night and to control the energy in the room with the music selection.
Second provide a live entertainment performance that wows your guests. For example, the two events featured here had: Samba dancers by Spirit of Samba; an artist creating personalized wedding favors by Leo’z Arts & Photography; Santa, Mrs. Claus and Elf provided by P.S. I Love You Productions; snow princess by Key Artist Group; and a champagne girl.
To sum up, design your reception to match your unique wedding style. Each wedding reception venue can be decorated differently to show off you and your fiancé on your special day. Whether you go big and dramatic or small and simple, at the end of the day, you have married your best friend.

Do you want ideas to plan your delightful Merry Christmas Wedding? This amazing group of Orlando Wedding Vendors created a stunning styled shoot to inspire your wedding planning. From the invitations to the couple’s attire, get inspired. Christmas Wedding theme does not have to be traditional red and green.
First, start with your wedding venue. This styled shoot used B Resort as the backdrop.
After that, choose a color palette that represents the season and your personality. The lush greens with gold accents are perfectly festive.
Third, be creative and have fun!
Let’s start from the beginning, with your color palette and invitations. This styled shoot used deep greens, golds and whites to represent the holiday season. Black was brought in to heighten the sense of elegance. The invitatios introduce this theme right away to the guests with an elegant black envelope. Once opened they are met with a whimsical “Oh What Fun” inscription and a small piece of evergreen.
The wedding planner of this styled shoot, Bella Sposa Events , beautifully brought this Christmas Wedding to life with the table scape. First with stunning gold chairs that have green velvet cushions. Secondly, green napkins and gold flatware. Further with the white, black and evergreen table décor. To bring some more of the holiday fun, an “Eat, Drink, & Be Merry” menu sign is added to the table.
Be true to you when choosing your wedding attire. Whether traditional wedding dress, or something unique, make it special. The bride here wore a simple, but stunning, green velvet gown. Subsequently it perfectly matched the color palette and theme. Similarly, the groom wore a black velvet coat. In addition, he donned a winter pant with a simple red bow tie for a pop of color.
Cake is the sweetest ending to your perfect wedding day. The Cake Studio created this simple wedding cake. However, the Christmas Wedding theme did not get missed. For example, the gold deer topper and evergreen accents. We cannot leave out this amazing cake table by Gala Rentals. Add a pop of color and fun to your special day with simple additions.
And don’t forget to have fun with your theme. This bride and groom clearly enjoyed the wedding cake cutting!
Above all, have fun with your wedding planning. Whether a themed Christmas Wedding, or a simple micro-wedding, you do what makes you happy. This is your wedding day and you should laugh and smile and cry and love. These models were the perfect example of what having fun looks like.
Choose a photographer that will capture these moments. Speak with them in advance and let them know you want them to catch your fun side at the wedding.
In conclusion, enjoy the journey of wedding planning. Choose the details that are important to you. After that, have fun. Cheers to your perfect wedding day.

Nature sets the backdrop for your wedding. Florida is uniquely diversified in the types backdrops available. With 1,350 miles of coastline, 3,000 lakes, big cities, amusement parks, rolling hills, swamp and flat lands, the possibilities are endless. However, we can’t forget that two-fifths of Florida’s land is considered farmland, and much of that being pasture. For example, take Lovelock Ranch. This family owned, working cattle farm is on Carlton Lake, just 30 minutes from Tampa. It boasts a 5,000+ square foot barn with a modern Western aesthetic perfect for cocktail hour and reception. In addition, it has dreamy fields, cypress trees and a tee pee constructed of repurposed pine. This styled shoot is dripping with romantic charm, fall florals and an unexpected guest.
Blooming Flowers and Art created beautiful floral bridal hats. They are not only unique, but give that added flair of fall beauty. Similarly, they created a floral hoop instead of a traditional wedding bouquet style. As a result, these florals create a statement that represents you as the one-of-a-kind bride. Speak with your florist about creative ways to incorporate your personal style and uniqueness into your special day.
Surprise your wedding guests with a visit from an unexpected attendee. Fairytale Petcare are the handlers for this special guest – a llama. That’s right, a llama made an appearance and the cuteness is on overload. Animal guests are trending at weddings, from llama’s, to sloths to beverage burrows. Many of these animals are rescues and they love the attention. Furthermore, they are adorable in your wedding photos.
Charcuterie boards and coffee – you can’t go wrong. Make your wedding extra special by serving your guests some of your favorite things. First, consider pleasing their pallets with a variety of cheeses, fruits and crackers at cocktail hour. These days you can even order individual charcuterie boxes for each guest. Second, choose food that represents you as a couple. Merge your favorite foods into a smorgasbord of courses so you each get something you enjoy. Lastly, don’t forget the dessert and coffee. This 3 tier cake by Tampa Bay Cake Company is sure to wow your guests. Most importantly, everything is made better with specialty coffee in to go cups.
The stunning chandeliers inside the barn and the beautiful barn doors set a gorgeous backdrop for photos. Almost as beautiful as the sunset over the fields with your new spouse and a llama. Whatever type of Florida wedding venue you choose, make it uniquely you. Work with each of your wedding professionals to tell your love story the way you want it told.
