Old, new, borrowed, and blue is the theme that resonated throughout this real wedding in Tampa, FL. No doubt family is extremely valuable to Heather and Hunter. In fact, their families came down from Missouri to celebrate the couple’s union. Unquestionably this intimate destination wedding created priceless memories for everyone involved.
Something old new borrowed and blue
Admittedly our favorite part of this real wedding is the sentimental wedding jewelry. In this situation, Heather’s something borrowed included her grandmother’s ring. Likewise it was also her something old and something blue. Similarly she wore earrings borrowed from her mother and sister. In addition, Hunter’s wedding day gift to Heather was a new bracelet.
Before the ceremony
Again focusing on the importance of family. Both Heather and Hunter involved their parents in the pre-wedding preparations. As well as their closet friends. Singularly sharing the love and celebration of this intimate destination wedding.
wedding ceremony under a tent
Certainly you wouldn’t know it by looking at it. But Safety Harbor Resort and Spa offers an indoor-outdoor solution to the Florida heat. In this situation, they have a climate-controlled tent. As you can see, it is beautifully draped in white from ceiling to floor. Subsequently creating a view of a lush Florida landscape while in the comfort of air conditioning. As well as a ceremony location that looks more luxurious than tent like.
Heather’s bridal bouquet was complete with blush and white roses. Coupled with eucalyptus greenery. Identically the arch was decorated with blush and white florals. Further coordinating with the bouquets and soft blush dresses of the bridesmaids.
Florida Wedding venue offers gorgeous photo ops
Safety Harbor Resort and Spa has a vast landscape. Correspondingly offering a variety of gorgeous photo backdrops. So, following their vows, it was time for some outdoor portraits of the newlyweds.
Although not part of the actual wedding activities, the couple’s dogs did get dressed up for the photos. Indeed wearing coordinating tuxedo and floral collars.
From beginning to end, this real wedding was filled with love and sentiment. Assuredly honoring the importance of family with their old new borrowed and blue. Cheers to a lifetime of happiness for Heather and Hunter.

This yacht wedding Tampa was an intimate affair with sentimental touches for the bride, groom and their families. With the Downtown Tampa as the backdrop for the ceremony, Marta and Carlos tied the knot at their perfect wedding.
sENTIMENTAL tOUCHES
This perfect day started off with a sentimental touch at the ceremony. To clarify, as the wedding guests were getting seated, they saw in the front row framed photos. These photos honor the family members who were not able to be there in person but in spirit. Certainly a beautiful representation of the importance of family on your wedding day.
Further, Marta’s son, walked her down the aisle to join her future husband at the altar. To add to the special moments of this wedding, the Captain officiated the wedding.
Yacht Wedding Tampa intimate portraits
The photographer, Carrie Wildes Photography, loves the views from the Yacht Starship. That is to say, the port and Downtown Tampa to name a few. This real wedding features gorgeous portraits of the bride and groom on their private deck outside the reception room. For sure these photos are going to be a cherished memory of this special day.
the little details
Marta and Carlos put themselves into every detail of the wedding. First the display of photos of the couple’s life together so far. Second, table number décor with photos of the couple. The word ‘love’ is carried through the entire wedding reception. For example the cake topper, champagne glasses and wedding favors.
The simple décor of engraved wood and twine, and candles give this wedding theme a warm, family feeling. Assuredly in line with the love of family that Marta and Carlos celebrate. In the same vein, the florals are soft greens, white and ivory. Continuing the softness of the décor.
This Yacht wedding Tampa brought together the simplicity of love and family for this beautiful couple. Congratulations Marta and Carlos. We wish you a lifetime of happiness.

6 tier wedding cakes are stunning. Undoubtedly this beautiful fondant cake by A Piece of Cake in Tampa, FL does not disappoint. For this reason, we just had to interview the bakery owner, Laurie, and learn more.
Laurie worked with this couple in Orlando, FL for their wedding at JW Marriott Orlando Bonnet Creek. The ivory and white cake is accented with gold ribbons, Further with soft pops of color on the sugar flowers. Certainly the guests were delighted by the flavors. First are lemon, chocolate and red velvet. Next coconut/pineapple and marble. Finally vanilla bean. Built to feed 200, surely the guests at this wedding had a sweet ending. And it was vegan/eggless also.

Wedding Cakes for special dietary needs
No doubt we had to ask more questions when we learned the 6 tier wedding cake was also vegan/eggless. For this reason, we interviewed Laurie about her bakery and special dietary needs:
Question 1: Can vegan/eggless cakes be made in any flavor? Answer: Most any flavor can be created using vegan/eggless recipes.
Question 2: Is there a vegan/eggless buttercream and can you decorate with it? Answer: Yes, we have vegan buttercream.
Question 3: Is fondant eggless/vegan and do you make your own fondant? Answer: The brand I use is vegan. However, homemade marshmallow fondant is not. Marshmallows are made with gelatin, which uses animal products.
Question 4: Are all the tiers in 6 tier wedding cakes real? Answer: Yes, this particular cake was all real cake.
Question 5: Do the cakes need to be refrigerated? Do special dietary needs cakes need to be refrigerated? Answer: I refrigerate all my cakes due to the heat and humidity in Florida.
Question 6: Can gluten free, eggless, vegan cakes be stacked? Answer: So far all of these types of cakes I have created, have been stacked and refrigerated.
what if only 1 or 2 guests has special restrictions?
Along with the above questions, we also wanted to know how you work with a couple with only 1 or 2 guests with special dietary restrictions? Laurie replied, “I explain to my couples to make the top layer the allergenic one and all the rest of the layers regular. However, I always advise that they elevate the top tier so that it is not touching the other cakes. Especially if there is a sever allergy. In this instance, I suggest a separate cake. Above all, be sure you speak with the person cutting the cake so they understand the dietary restrictions and the need for no cross-contamination using the same knife and serving utensils.”

Thank you A Piece of Cake & Desserts for sharing all of this information with us. So be sure you choose one that best fits your style, flavors and needs. Most importantly – eat cake first!

This downtown Tampa wedding is draped in layers of emerald green with the beautiful city as a backdrop. In fact, it was an absolutely gorgeous day for Carrie and Jimmy to celebrate their love with friends and family.
Groom gets special treatment
Before the wedding, the groom set-up a private haircut service. That is to say, his barber made a house call to give him and his groomsmen fresh haircuts. No doubt this special treatment prepared Jimmy for his big day ahead.
After getting ready, the groomsmen enjoyed a few drinks to celebrate the groom. Additionally, Jimmy checked his watch as he patiently awaited the wedding day first look with his soon to be wife.
The bride
Similarly, the bride had a custom monogrammed robe to wear during her pre-wedding prep. Hair and make up by Femme Akoi. Additionally the back of Carrie’s dress was all lace. Paired with gorgeous Louboutin shoes and a diamond necklace and earrings. Without a doubt Jimmy is going to be wow’ d when he sees her. A few moments were also enjoyed laughing and smiling with her bridesmaids before her first look with her soon to be husband.
In line with the wedding colors, the bridesmaids wore emerald green dresses. Also they carried bouquets of soft blush, white and greenery created by FH Events.
Downtown Tampa Wedding First Look
And then it was time for the wedding day first look on the Riverwalk in Downtown Tampa. The photographer, Carrie Wildes Photography, says “It’s always such a fun moment to setup and photograph as it unfolds. There were definitely some tears. Subsequently you can always see the nerves just fall away.”
THE Cutest Little Ring Bearers
Carrie and Jimmy’s two boys, were the cutest little ring bearers. Above all the couple tied the knot at a lovely ceremony with the water as the backdrop.
Downtown tampa wedding reception
This Downtown Tampa wedding reception was decorated with emerald linens, glass and white and blush florals. Carrie’s mom actually made all the table number holders out of wine corks. Certainly a favorite element was the custom bobble heads for their cake table. Likewise the wedding favors were a bag of coffee that said “the perfect blend”. Also a hand sanitizer that said “quarantined for life.”
Meanwhile the bridal party made a pretty fantastic entrance. All the while the gorgeous Tampa sun set in the background for all the dances and toasts.
Bouquet Toss for Two
For the bouquet toss, Carrie acted like she was going to throw it, and then didn’t. Instead she grabbed another bouquet and handed them to two of her bridesmaids. Certainly because they are getting married next.
The wedding bouquet toss is a tradition that is still performed at today’s weddings. Therefore, we cannot feature this real wedding of Kendall and Tyler without highlighting this moment of their wedding day. First, during her speech, the maid of honor mentioned her favorite meal, often enjoyed with the bride. Then, right before the wedding bouquet toss, she handed the wedding planner a bag of #9 meals from McDonalds. That is to say, a Filet-O-Fish meal. Apparently the aforementioned favorite meal was said Filet-O-Fish from McDonalds. Hence the bouquet toss of Filet-O-Fish meals for the girls.
Of course, after a few laughs, the bride continued on with the traditional wedding bouquet toss.
Now back to the beginning
Special Moments Event Planning assisted this Florida couple with full-service wedding planning. In contrast to the surprise wedding bouquet toss, the ceremony was elegant and beautiful. Start with the gorgeous Gulf of Mexico as the backdrop. Next add the white sands of the Clearwater, FL beach. Further, white garden chairs with gold lanterns and white rose petals as décor. As a result, the perfect scene was set for a lovely beach wedding.
Before walking down the aisle. The couple enjoyed precious time with their attendants and family. As you can see the bride spent time with her mother getting ready. Likewise the groom and his father.
Certainly the couple also had some pre-wedding fun with their attendants. That is to say, a round or two of shots.
NAvy, White and Gold
From the invitations to the wedding reception tables, the navy, white and gold wedding colors were perfectly reflected. Especially in the invitations with the navy paper and gold accents. Of course the bride’s stunning gown with spaghetti straps and high leg slit took center stage. Additionally the wedding bouquets of white orchids and garden roses were set off by the bridesmaids navy gowns. The men wore tan suits with navy vests and ties. In contrast, the groom wore a navy suit with tan vest and navy tie. Accordingly, the white sand beaches and blue ocean put the finishing touches on this elegant beachside wedding at Opal Sands Resort.
First Looks
Kendall and Tyler chose a first look before the ceremony. Many couples use this as an opportunity to shake off the wedding day nerves. Additionally it allows for a few private moments together to reflect on the ceremony ahead.
Furthermore Kendall chose a first look with her father.
The Ceremony
Unquestionably, tying the knot on a beach, with the sun and ocean behind. With the love of your life in front of you. And your friends and family surrounding you. Adds up to the perfect wedding day.
Before the party
Wedding photographer, Kristen Marie Photography, used the setting sun to capture memories for a lifetime for Kendall and Tyler.
party time
Time to celebrate. That is to say, first dances, food service and cake cutting. And of course the wedding bouquet toss. The wedding reception began with a first dance by the newlyweds. Followed by a delicious meal prepared by the staff at Opal Sands Resort. Likewise a modern, smooth finish cake created by The Artistic Wish, with simple navy accents and fresh florals. Obviously we can’t end this post without re-mentioning the surprise wedding bouquet toss. How about those #9 meals of Filet-O-Fish. Finally, the bride’s doggie best friend was in attendance as well. We wish Kendall and Tyler a lifetime of wedded happiness.

Nature sets the backdrop for your wedding. Florida is uniquely diversified in the types backdrops available. With 1,350 miles of coastline, 3,000 lakes, big cities, amusement parks, rolling hills, swamp and flat lands, the possibilities are endless. However, we can’t forget that two-fifths of Florida’s land is considered farmland, and much of that being pasture. For example, take Lovelock Ranch. This family owned, working cattle farm is on Carlton Lake, just 30 minutes from Tampa. It boasts a 5,000+ square foot barn with a modern Western aesthetic perfect for cocktail hour and reception. In addition, it has dreamy fields, cypress trees and a tee pee constructed of repurposed pine. This styled shoot is dripping with romantic charm, fall florals and an unexpected guest.
Florals set you apart
Blooming Flowers and Art created beautiful floral bridal hats. They are not only unique, but give that added flair of fall beauty. Similarly, they created a floral hoop instead of a traditional wedding bouquet style. As a result, these florals create a statement that represents you as the one-of-a-kind bride. Speak with your florist about creative ways to incorporate your personal style and uniqueness into your special day.
Unexpected guest
Surprise your wedding guests with a visit from an unexpected attendee. Fairytale Petcare are the handlers for this special guest – a llama. That’s right, a llama made an appearance and the cuteness is on overload. Animal guests are trending at weddings, from llama’s, to sloths to beverage burrows. Many of these animals are rescues and they love the attention. Furthermore, they are adorable in your wedding photos.
make the food special too
Charcuterie boards and coffee – you can’t go wrong. Make your wedding extra special by serving your guests some of your favorite things. First, consider pleasing their pallets with a variety of cheeses, fruits and crackers at cocktail hour. These days you can even order individual charcuterie boxes for each guest. Second, choose food that represents you as a couple. Merge your favorite foods into a smorgasbord of courses so you each get something you enjoy. Lastly, don’t forget the dessert and coffee. This 3 tier cake by Tampa Bay Cake Company is sure to wow your guests. Most importantly, everything is made better with specialty coffee in to go cups.
chandeliers and sunset are a perfect backdrop
The stunning chandeliers inside the barn and the beautiful barn doors set a gorgeous backdrop for photos. Almost as beautiful as the sunset over the fields with your new spouse and a llama. Whatever type of Florida wedding venue you choose, make it uniquely you. Work with each of your wedding professionals to tell your love story the way you want it told.

Amaze your guests with an artistic entertainment experience like no other on your wedding day. Intrigue them with artistic entertainment and a wedding favor to take home. Accomplish this with a skilled artisan and their pen and paper. For example, classic caricatures. People love to see themselves turned into cartoon. No matter what size wedding, big or small, caricatures are a timeless tradition.
propose with a caricature
You can even propose with a caricature. First, meet with your artist and discuss the plan. Second, convince your love to sit with you for a drawing. Third, the artist will draw you proposing. Last, when the drawing is turned around, you pop the question. ENGAGED!
Fashion Sketches
Fashion sketches take your artistic entertainment to the next level. These artists translate your wedding guests into beautiful works of art. As a result they look and feel like they are ready for the runway. The Creative Development Team at Artistic Talent Group first developed this exclusive product for Fashion Week at The Mall at Millenia. From the sleek pages of classic Vogue to popular Project Runway television show. Fashion Sketch is an art form that everyone is familiar with. The long, elegant sketches capture the feel of the clothes and the essence of the subject. Your wedding guests are illustrated in an elegant, high-fashion style. In conclusion, your guests will feel like supermodels and take home a wedding favor they won’t soon forget.

Hit and Run
This is not your classic caricature. No guests waiting in lines. The only lines here are on the paper. Hit and Run artists draw in stealth mode, out of site of wedding guests. When the figure-sketch art is complete, the artist gives (or hits) the unsuspecting guest with the drawing. Then run off to draw another guest. It’s where the name Hit & Run comes from. Wedding guests are always pleasantly surprised with the wedding favor and rarely realize they were being drawn.
amaze guests with live artistic painting
Wedding event painting is an upscale, elegant artistic entertainment option. Your ceremony or reception is captured by your artist, in the moment. The artist interprets the spirit of your event directly on the canvas. After the party is over, you receive an original painting that commemorates your special day. In conclusion, no matter the artistic entertainment option you choose, your guests are sure to remember your wedding for years to come.
Shelby & Treavor knew as soon as they stepped foot on Bakers Ranch that they had found their dream venue. They chose to use this customizable space for the perfect rustic ranch romance themed event.
Teala and Lisa, the onsite wedding coordinators at Bakers Ranch were able to take this couple’s theme and truly bring it to life. Of course, weddings are always romantic. But this ranch brings it to a whole new level.
As we all know, outside ceremonies can be hit-or-miss during certain times of the year in Central Florida. Although it turned out to be a gloomy day weather wise, the rain held off through the entire ceremony.
“Saying “I do” in front of all of our closest friends and family was truly my favorite part of our wedding day,” said Shelby.
The beautiful wedding images taken by Kristen Marie Photography portrayed this day not as gloomy, but as full of light. It’s a great example of what a professional photographer can do in a state with unpredictable weather.
Keeping Her Memory Alive
Shelby was honored to wear a family heirloom on their special day that belonged to Treavor’s mother. It had been almost ten years since since she passed. And being able to wear this item reminded them both that she was watching over them and blessing their union.
