When Orlando wedding planner, Pavone Events, walked into the The University Club of Orlando, she knew right away this theme would be 1920’s speakeasy. As you can see, the dark wood, exposed concrete walls and rich colored furniture easily laid the backdrop of this wedding theme. To start, Christine Kirby Studios created placemat, table signage and drink signage in an old newspaper style. Next Florida Candy Buffets brought in candy cigarettes, 100 dollar bill chocolate bars and other delicious themed desserts. Add to that whiskey bottles and cigar boxes for flower vases and you have the makings of one great wedding theme. Additionally the planner worked with the chef to create a meal that was just as perfect for the theme. For example, mocktails called Rat Pack, The G Man and Shirley Temple. Along with the dessert company, Sugar Sugar Cake Boutique, the cupcake became Public Enemy #1.
